各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

這個六月，全港的學校也對復課嚴陣以待！可能大家都會覺得由二月起學生停課了，老師也停工了。事實上，老師及學校的其他員工並沒有停下來，不停地為我們準備的資源，為復課做好好準備。例如：老師們利用軟件進行實時教學；工友們進行學校「大清洗」；書記們不停接收資訊及準備不同的資源，為開課作好準備。我十分感動，衷心感謝各人無私的付出，我相信他們所付出的時間及心力，比平日上課更多。

By June, all schools of Hong Kong must also be fully prepared for class resumption. Perhaps everybody thought that since schools suspended classes, teachers have also stopped working, but that is not true! In fact, teachers and other school staff worked nonstop to prepare a wide range of learning resources for students. To give some examples, teachers used software for real-time lessons, school janitors constantly maintained school cleanliness, school clerical staff continuously received different information and prepared various resources for class resumption. I am so touched. Thank you to everyone for their selfless contribution. I believe they gave even more time and effort than during normal classes.

六月最後一個星期可算極之充實！我們已為下年度做好準備了！首先分別在星期一及星期五分別與教育局小學校本課程發展組（非華語）學校發展主任劉珮慈小姐及（英文組）高級學校發展主任封可君小姐，討論明年我們在英文及非華語課程的發展方向。事實上，我與封小姐已經認識多年，因為在十年前，我曾經借調到這個部門，為香港及內地的英文課程發展作推介。因此，我們再次見面，有着說不盡的話題，希望籍着教育局給我們的意見，令學校發光發亮。

The final week of June was very fruitful! First, on Monday and Friday we had discussions with Ms. LAU Pui Tsz, Cally (School Development Officer, NCS) and Ms. FUNG Ho Kwan, Jeanda (Senior School Development Officer, English) of the School-based Curriculum Development (Primary) Section regarding the perspective of development for the respective areas. Actually, I have known Ms. FUNG for many years because I seconded to this department ten years ago where I advanced the English subject curriculum in Hong Kong and Mainland China. That’s why we had endless topics to talk about when we met again! Also, Ms. FUNG supported our school eight years ago, so she knows our Vice Principal, Ms. NG, as well. I hope that we can all make our school shine bright.

星期二，我們接受訪問「親子頭條」的訪問，「親子頭條」是一站式親子平台及親子雜誌，內有一個部分為「校園生活」，是由退休校長梁兆棠先生主管，他會到訪不同學校作專訪。當天的訪問內容，我暫且保密，刊登之日，我才與大家分享，現先給大家看看當天的相片。

On Tuesday, we had our first interview. Mr. LEUNG Siu Tong, retired School Principal, is in charge of one of the sections of “Parenting Headline!” called “School Life”. He visits and interviews various schools, and this time it was our turn! The details will be kept secret until the article is published, but I will share the photos with everyone for now.

星期三的下午，鄭校監、蘇校董、鄧校董到來學校，聽取學校中層主任及老師的工作報告，這是對學校發展的重要一步，他們給了我們寶貴的意見。最後，他們也讚賞我們的努力，認為我們的努力沒有白費，鼓勵我們繼續努力，將學校的特色課程及關愛文化推廣出去。

On Wednesday afternoon, Supervisor CHENG, School Manager SO and School Manager TANG came to acquire the work reports of our school middle managers and teachers. This is a crucial part of school development as they have given us invaluable advice. Lastly, they praised us for our diligence; they think that our hard work is not in vain, and encouraged us to keep up efforts to promote our school’s characteristic curriculum and the caring school culture to the community.

我非常感謝老師的創意及熱誠，他們為了復課已經忙得不可開交，但他們還抽空為學生及家長拍攝一系列的復課短片，內容既有趣又有意義，家長及學生也給予高度評價，我們已經將這些短片放在Facebook及Youtube，方便大家瀏覽，希望能令更多人認識我們，推廣學校。希望家長、同學們也為我們推介一下或分享出去，讓多些人認識我們。

I am so thankful for teachers’ creativity and enthusiasm. Even though they were already so busy with class resumption preparation, they still took the time to create a series of class resumption videos for students and parents, and the contents are both engaging and meaningful! They were highly praised by parents and students, too! We have already uploaded these short videos onto Facebook and YouTube for everyone to watch, and at the same time they help promote our school because it is important that more people get to know our school. I hope that parents and students could recommend our school or share our videos so that more people can get to know us.

六月八日及六月十五日(星期一)分別為小四至小六及小一至小三之復課。看見學生們的表現，就知道家長們為小朋友作好準備，讓學生看過學校為大家拍攝的短片，學生對相關的安排十分了解，上學及放學的流程均十分順暢。

8th June and 15th June (Mondays) were P.4-P.6 and P.1-P.3 class resumption dates, respectively. Parents helped their children prepare well, and I believe that due to having watched the short videos filmed by the school, the students were clear of related procedures, so the day went smoothly.

第二十五屆表揚教師計劃，現正進行中。我們今年會如常舉行，請大家踴躍投票。今年負責老師，以短片形式作宣傳，很有誠意。歡迎觀看並給予「讚」。學校的成功有賴大家的支持，希望大家不單可以在學校開開心心上課，更可以學習成為一個開心快樂及有責任感的人。

The 25th Teacher Commendation Scheme is happening now. It is taking place as normal, so please vote actively! This year, teachers in charge are promoting the scheme with a short video. How sincere! You are welcome to watch and feel free to give it a “like”! The school is successful because of all your support. I hope that students not only go to school happily, but also learn to become a positive and responsible person.

在24/11（三）早上，我們邀請了家教會主席及部分成員到學校點票。他們花了兩個多小時才能完成點票工作。最後由林詠如老師及伍蝶姗老師為最高票數的首兩位。他們將於17/9（四）出席頒獎禮。

On the morning of 24th November (Wed), we invited Chairperson and various members of the Parent Teacher Association to carry out vote counting at school. They spent over two hours to complete this task. It turns out that Miss LAM Wing Yu and Miss NG Dip Shan received the highest votes! They will attend the award ceremony on 17th September (Thu).

星期四是端午節假期，今年可算是不一樣的端午節，因為很多龍舟賽事也取消了。屯門碼頭附近昔日十分熱鬧的情境已經不再有，祝願全球的疫情快快過去吧！

It was Dragon Boat Festival Holiday on Thursday. This year is a very unique Dragon Boat Festival because many dragon boat races were cancelled. The lively atmosphere at Tuen Mun Ferry Pier in past years was nowhere to be seen. I really hope this epidemic passes soon and life returns to normal for all countries.
